Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2021-2022, 2022-2023


Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) is implementing Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) since 1982 at National level. The Scheme is aimed at providing facilities to outstanding talented children selected in the age group of 10 to 14 years studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional performing arts for getting specialized training in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, dance, drama as well as painting, sculpture, crafts and literary activities.

It may be noted that incomplete application without specimens of the latest original art work in the field of visual and literary arts/self attested copies of required certificates and those received in the old /previous year(s) application form and received after the last date will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be done.

Maximum 650 new scholarships will be awarded every year, subject to availability of funds, which includes 100 scholarships marked for Tribal Culture/Scheduled Tribe (ST) children (who possess valid ‘ST’ certificate), 20 for Differently Abled children (having valid disability certificate), 30 for the children active in the field of Creative Writing / Literary Arts (having evidence of their original work) and 125 scholarships for the children of Traditional Artists Family TAF -which are continuously practicing art form(s) for the minimum previous 03 generations). As the new scholarships to be awarded are limited in number proportionate to large number of art forms practiced in our country and that also subject to availability of funds, therefore, all the eligible applications will be scrutinized by the Central Selection Committee and then, only the recommended candidates will be informed about the interview/test dates, timings and venue by post only, which may be held from the month of June , 2022 onwards at regional level. Gurus/Parents are requested to ensure that their wards possess minimum (03) years of training and certain level of proficiency in the field, while applying except in Creative Writing/Literary Arts.

The applications of only three (03) students of a Guru/Institution will be considered for award of Scholarships at a time. If more than one Guru/Teacher is working in the same Institution, then also only three (03) applicants’ applications of that Institution will be considered. The applicant must apply in one subject only, as all the applications of those, who apply in more than one subject, would be rejected straight away.

The above mentioned requirement are MANDATORY, therefore, while submitting the form, please ensure that all the points have been attended to.

The application form(s) received after the last day i.e. Saturday , April 30, 2022 will not be considered and CCRT will not be responsible for any kind of postal delay.
