DU Vice Chancellor Assures Afghan Students Of All Possible Help

Following a meeting with varsity authorities on Thursday, Acting Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi told Afghan students that they would receive all available assistance. Officials from the Dean Students' Welfare and Foreign Students Registry met with Afghan students just days after the Taliban reclaimed power of Afghanistan. Around 200 Afghan students are enrolled in various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university.

Because of the online classes and the semester break, many of them have returned home. On Thursday, a total of 48 kids attended the meeting.

"The Afghan students expressed their concerns and dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in their nation. The university administration listened carefully to their challenges, which included visa extensions, ICCR scholarships, hostel accommodations, and financial difficulties, among other things "The varsity issued a statement.
