The deadline for submitting June Term End Examination assignments was extended by the Indira Gandhi National Open University on Monday. The institution has also made an online assignment submission link available. The institution had already postponed Learner Support Services in regional centres due to the Covid-19 outbreak and implemented the online mode of submitting assignments.
IGNOU's decision to extend the deadline came a day after it stated that the institution had yet to make a judgement. In response to students' questions, the IGNOU indicated on May 30 that the university has not given any notification regarding an extension of the submission due for Assignments or Practicals for the June 2021 Term End Examinations.
Many students had previously stated that the assignment submission date should be extended owing to the COVID-19 lockout, citing a lack of resources. Learners must log on to the official website with their enrollment number, programme name, and date of birth in order to submit assignments. “While submitting the final project through online mode, learners should ensure that the Proposal Proforma is duly approved in original, along with the “Synopsis” and Bio-data of the project guide, and that the original certificate is duly signed by both the Student and the Project Guide with a date to be incorporated (wherever applicable),” according to the university.
According to IGNOU guidelines, when uploading digital copies of projects, students should make sure that the scanned pages are clear and not blurred, that the sequencing is right, that the pages are adequately lit, and that the page orientation is consistent - not changing between portrait and landscape.
