IIT Delhi Board of Governors has approved a course on the Bachelor of Design (BDes). The course will begin from the 2022-23 session. The programme will be offered by the Institute's Department of Design and will be open to students of all specialisations, that is, Science, Arts and Commerce.
The four year programme will begin with 20 seats.
Students will be admitted to the programme based on Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED).

"This is the first time when IIT Delhi would be admitting UG students (BDes) from specialisations other than Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics," said V Ramgopal Rao, director, IIT Delhi.
