IIT-Madras launches fellowship in Artificial Intelligence




The Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and AI (RBCDSAI) at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras has launched a fellowship in Artificial Intelligence for Social Good in collaboration with the Narayanan Family Foundation. The aim of this fellowship is to attract outstanding early-career AI researchers to RBCDSAI, IIT Madras.


Interested applicants should visit rbcdsai.iitm.ac.in to apply for the fellowship.


The fellowship is open to recent Ph.D. graduates and early-career researchers in computer science, computational and data sciences, biomedical sciences, management, finance, and other engineering fields. The fellows will be paid a salary ranging from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh per year (approximately US$ 20,000 – 24,000) for a three-year non-renewable period (equivalent to an Assistant Professor's starting salary at any IIT). The Narayanan Family Foundation will finance it. Fellows may also apply for a one-time research grant of up to Rs 30 lakh (approximately US$ 40,050).
