Delhi Government To Take Over Management Of Private School In Punjabi Bagh For Violating Rules

According to an official statement, the Delhi government decided on Saturday to take over the management of the private school in Punjabi Bagh after receiving many complaints from parents about Swami Shivanand Memorial School charging extra fees arbitrarily. In response to parent complaints, the Delhi government established an inquiry committee to look into the problem. The committee deemed the allegations presented by students' parents to be true, according to the report.

The Delhi government has decided to initiate the process of taking over the School Management as per the provisions of the Delhi School Education Act of 1973, citing the inadequacies and complaints that were found to be true. The school management was given a chance to defend itself, but it was unable to give any reasonable answer about the anomalies in its functioning, according to the statement.
