Alia Bhatt Shines at BAFTA 2026 with 'Namaste', & Introduces Award In Hindi

After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt made a memorable mark on the BAFTA 2026 stage. The Raazi actress presented the award for Best Film Not in the English Language, opening her announcement in Hindi before translating it for the global audience. Greeting everyone with a warm “Namaskar,” Alia spoke about cinema transcending language, celebrating the universal language of film.

The honour went to the Norwegian film Sentimental Value.

For her maiden BAFTA appearance, Alia brought old-Hollywood glamour to the red carpet in a custom silver Gucci gown, channeling Marilyn Monroe vibes.

On the work front, Alia has Alpha and Love & War lined up, the latter directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Both films have seen schedule changes, with new release dates awaited.
