The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the Class 10 board exam results for 2026 by mid-April, possibly ahead of the Class 12 results. This earlier timeline is being considered due to the second round of Class 10 board exams scheduled for May 2026. While students eagerly await the results, CBSE has not yet confirmed an official date, and the announcement could be made at any time. In 2025, results for both Class 10 and Class 12 were declared on May 13.
From this year onward, Class 10 students will get an opportunity to improve their scores in up to three subjects by appearing in a second examination. The Class 10 exams concluded on March 11, whereas the Class 12 exams are still underway and will end on April 10. Both examinations began on February 17.
This year, more than 43 lakh students have registered for the CBSE board exams, including approximately 25 lakh for Class 10 and 18.5 lakh for Class 12. The Class 10 exams were conducted across 8,074 centres, while Class 12 exams are being held at 7,574 centres.

Although results are usually released in mid-May, this year’s schedule may change due to the introduction of the second examination cycle for Class 10 students.
