Haryana is ready to start Class XII board exams between June 15 and June 20. Following a meeting between the Centre and state representatives on Sunday, state education minister Kanwar Pal confirmed this.
"Under the leadership of defence minister Rajnath Singh and Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, a meeting was held with the state and UT education ministers, secretaries, and board chairpersons, and suggestions were sought from all regarding the conduct of board examinations," Pal said after the meeting. The minister stated that he previously stated that examinations should be scheduled in accordance with the Covid-19 situation in various states. "We want the date sheet to be available 20 days before the start of the examination." We had previously announced that Class XII exams would begin on June 1, but issues arising as a result of the Covid-19 situation caused everything to be postponed. "We have informed the Union minister that we will be able to begin the exams between June 15 and June 20," he added.
"The Union ministers had asked whether the examination time should be 90 minutes or complete 3 hours," Kanwar Pal said of the exam's duration. We are ready to hold a 3-hour examination, but we want the students to have enough time.
