CLAT 2025 Revised Results to Be Announced Soon Following Delhi High Court Order

New Delhi, May 17, 2025 — The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) is expected to release the revised results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 shortly, following a directive from the Delhi High Court issued on April 23. The court had instructed the Consortium to publish an updated merit list within four weeks, after discrepancies were identified in four undergraduate questions—Questions 5, 77, 115, and 116.

Candidates will be able to check their revised scores on the official CLAT website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025, by entering their application or admit card number along with their date of birth.

The updated merit list will also kickstart the online counselling process for admissions into undergraduate (LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) programmes at participating National Law Universities (NLUs).

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of India recently dismissed appeals challenging the Delhi High Court’s refusal to entertain objections related to Questions 81, 93, and 97. A bench led by Justices B.R. Gavai and Augustine George Masih criticised the Consortium for its “casual approach” in preparing the question paper, citing repeated errors over the years. The court suggested the need for appointing dedicated paper setters to ensure greater quality control in future editions of the exam.

Additionally, the apex court has issued a notice to the Ministry of Education, requesting its response on steps that could be taken to streamline the examination process and enhance its credibility.

CLAT 2025 was held on December 1, 2024, and the initial results were announced on December 7. The exam serves as the primary entrance test for admission to LLB and LLM programmes at NLUs and other prestigious law institutions across India.
