Deshbhakti curriculum to have activity-based learning

The Desh bhakti curriculum is structured as a series of exercises centred on conversations and reflections on real-life situations and examples that students may relate to. Activities, dialogues, and reflection-based inquiry will be used to teach. There are no textbooks offered to pupils and only teacher's handbooks are provided. This academic session, the Delhi government plans to implement the Deshbhakti curriculum in Delhi government schools. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister, has asked for it to “bridge the gap between principles and actions” and “ensure that constitutional concepts of equality, fraternity, and justice are followed by children in their daily lives.”

Through reflections and observations, the curriculum attempts to improve children's intellectual, mental, emotional, and social abilities by observing, assessing, and developing values, behaviours, and actions. Furthermore, the curriculum will assist students in becoming willing, active, and informed participants in the country's government and growth. The objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 are aligned with the Desh bhakti curriculum.
