On January 31, 2022, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will begin offering an online Master of Arts (MA) English degree. Candidates interested in applying for the programme should go to the official website at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
Students will get a solid understanding of English and American literatures, as well as other burgeoning areas of literature such as Canadian, Australian, and Indian English, over the two-year programme. The goal of the online version of the programme is to allow more people to earn a master's degree in English language at their own speed and in their own time.
Eligibility Criteria
Students may select courses from any module to finish the MA programme, with the exception of two mandatory courses that must be selected in the first year. If a student is unable to complete the MA programme for any reason, he or she may exit with a PG Diploma in English after completing 32 credits of coursework.
Course Fee
The overall programme fee is Rs 13,600 for the whole programme, which must be paid in annual instalments of Rs 6800. Along with the first year's cost, a registration fee of Rs 200 is required.
