IIT Bombay launches five-month online certificate programme in Generative AI

IIT Bombay has launched a certificate programme in Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in collaboration with edtech platform Great Learning, which is supporting the initiative as the learning partner.

The five-month online programme is offered through the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence and is designed and delivered by IIT Bombay faculty. It features an industry-aligned curriculum that equips professionals with the skills required to design, customise, and deploy Generative AI (GenAI) solutions.

Targeted at software developers, data scientists, analysts, product owners, technology specialists, product managers, STEM graduates, and GenAI enthusiasts, the programme aims to help learners build and manage GenAI systems and seamlessly integrate them into existing workflows to advance their careers.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA to be eligible for admission.

The programme follows a hands-on, large language model (LLM)-centric approach across five modules, covering foundational AI concepts, large language models, prompt engineering, and model customisation using proprietary tools.
