An Indian student has captured widespread attention on social media after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with an extraordinary six STEM majors — a feat many have described as both remarkable and unprecedented.

His achievement came into the spotlight after a family member shared a graduation photograph on Instagram, showcasing a stole embroidered with the names of all six disciplines.

While earning a single STEM degree from a top university is considered challenging, completing six simultaneously has impressed students, educators, and internet users alike. The accomplishment reflects not only academic excellence but also a rare ability to balance diverse fields spanning technology, mathematics, data analysis, cognitive science, and public policy.

According to the viral social media post, Arhaan completed more than 333 academic units during his time at Berkeley. The post further claimed that there is no known record of any student at an American university graduating with six STEM majors at the same time.

Adding to the achievement, Arhaan reportedly taught graduate-level courses in Accounting and Computer Science while pursuing advanced coursework himself. His ability to manage teaching responsibilities alongside the demanding requirements of six majors quickly became a major talking point online.

The Instagram post praised his dedication, stating: "Six majors. All STEM. One human being. There is no recorded evidence of any other student in the history of American universities completing six STEM majors simultaneously."

The celebrations surrounding his graduation were equally memorable. Friends reportedly travelled from different cities to attend the ceremonies, while strangers stopped to congratulate him and take photographs. According to the post, many joined the celebrations simply to be part of the moment.

"Every single graduation — friends came. Some travelled from distant cities just to stand in that crowd and cheer for him. Strangers stopped him on the street to take photographs. People he had never met bought rounds of drinks for his friends just to be part of the moment," the post said.

As news of his accomplishment spread, social media users flooded platforms with messages of admiration and congratulations. Many jokingly remarked that Arhaan had become the kind of student parents might use as the ultimate benchmark for academic success.

Others were fascinated by the sheer logistics of completing six demanding majors within a single university career. One user wrote, "This is truly remarkable! Heartiest congratulations to Arhaan and his proud parents." Another commented, "All the majors are fascinating. Congratulations to him for pursuing every one of his interests."
