James Dyson award 2021 open for entries




In India, the James Dyson Award 2021 is accepting entries from undergraduate and post-graduate engineers who want to ‘design something that solves a problem.' Interested participants must be enrolled for at least one semester in an undergraduate or graduate engineering/design related course at a university in a participating country or region in the last four years, or have been enrolled for at least one semester in an undergraduate or graduate engineering/design related course at a university in a participating country or region in the last four years.


The foreign winner of the James Dyson Award 2021 will receive a prize of £30,000, as well as £5,000 for the winner's university. The winner of the sustainability category will earn a £30,000 award. The two foreign finalists will each earn $5,000. Each national winner will receive £2,000 in prize money.


The James Dyson Award website is where candidates will send their entries. Entrants should describe their invention ideas in detail, using imagery and video to back up their claims. The application deadline is June 30.


Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, UK, and USA are among the 28 countries and regions covered by the James Dyson Award.


In 2020, the James Dyson Award will include a new prize that recognises sustainability efforts. The winner for sustainability is selected from among the top 20 candidates from around the world.
