Maharashtra Board cancels Class 10 exams, Karnataka SSLC to held as scheduled

Live Updates on the Class 10th and 12th Board Exams in 2021: Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and the Maharashtra Board have decided to cancel class 10 board exams.

Students had previously been given the choice of taking the exam at a later time by CISCE. Those who choose not to take the exam would have been judged on a “fair and unbiased” criteria, according to the commission. This decision has now been reversed.

Meanwhile, states such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala, as well as Assam and Nagaland, have agreed to continue with the board exams.

Summer holidays for school students have been postponed in several states, and others have opted to close schools for the month.

On April 18, the National Testing Agency postponed the JEE Main exam, which had been scheduled for April 27. Many other entrance exams, such as CUSAT, have also been delayed.
