For the academic year 2022-23, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has chosen to lighten all school textbooks. The decision on council was made in response to the disturbance of the learning process in the country caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. The number of cases has risen in recent days, forcing schools to close and online lessons to continue.
NCERT has set August 2022 as the deadline. The new textbooks based on the NCF 2022 are likely to be introduced from the 2023-24 academic session.
