The preliminary results of the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for undergraduate (BDes) and postgraduate (MDes) programmes have been issued by the National Institute of Design (NID). The NID DAT 2021 result can be seen on the official website - admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who passed the preliminary tests are now qualified to take the mains exams, which will be conducted in a computer-based format.
Students shortlisted for BDes Mains will be required to submit a theme poster on the topics in a single PDF file no larger than 10 MB, according to the institute.
Thematic posters can be created by hand in any medium. The theme poster and portfolio must be submitted by June 28.
NID DAT Result 2021: How To Check
Candidates can follow these steps to check the NID DAT Prelims result 2021:
Visit the official website -- admissions.nid.edu.
Click on the ‘NID DAT prelims result’ tab
Feed in your email address, date of birth and verification code
Click on the ‘Submit’ button
NID DAT 2021 result will be displayed on the screen
Download the result and take a printout for future need
Within the allotted period, candidates must upload a photograph or a scanned copy of the poster. The poster can also be printed on one A3 sheet and uploaded digitally.
Shortlisted candidates for the MDes Mains test must submit a statement of purpose (SoP) that is no more than 500 words long. The SoP must be typed and uploaded as a single PDF file with a maximum file size of 2 MB.
According to the official release, the subjects for the theme poster and the question of the SoP would be communicated individually to the shortlisted candidates via their registered email account.
The National Institute of Design DAT is a two-tiered entrance exam. Students who pass the entrance exam are eligible to enroll in NID campuses in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh.
