On World Youth Skills Day, IGNOU introduces two new postgraduate programmes.



The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched two postgraduate programmes: a Master of Science in Information Security and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing (Entrepreneurship). On the UN-designated ‘World Youth Skills Day' of July 15, 2021, the School of Vocational Education and Training started both PG programmes. Students can apply for postgraduate programmes at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in


Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor of IGNOU, started the PG programmes virtually. Arun Sahdeo, Country Coordinator (UNV); Professor Sanjay Sehgal, Dean Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi; Dr. J.S Juneja, an entrepreneur; and Professor Sushila Madan, an information security expert, were among the UNDP's external experts at the virtual launch.


Professor Satyakam, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Uma Kanjilal, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Sumitra Kukreti, and other faculty members and administrators from the School also attended the launch. According to an IGNOU statement, the MSc Information Security program's general goal is to equip graduate students for effective courses in information security by providing an outstanding education.


According to IGNOU, the MA Entrepreneurship program's goal is to provide students with the information, skills, and competences needed to start their own firm. The curriculum will focus on many aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation, and soft skills that are required for a successful entrepreneur to reach this goal.
