Pakistan: Former PM Imran Khan to be arrested


Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan is expected to be detained in a case involving foreign finance. He is most likely to be detained in connection with the foreign funding issue, according to media reports on Friday. According to ARY, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Tariq Shafi, Hamid Zaman, and Saif Niazi were all expected to be detained on the same day.


According to additional reporting from ARY, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah made the decision on Thursday. Sanaullah said that the PTI leaders were not appearing properly in front of the Federal Investigation Agency in the funding case and as a result, the government will have to step up their measures.
