Rajasthan govt announces summer vacation for all schools from April 22 to June 6

According to an official order, the Rajasthan government declared a 45-day summer vacation starting April 22 in all government and private schools, following Delhi and Haryana. According to the order, all state-run and private schools in Rajasthan will be closed from April 22 to June 6.

Furthermore, state education minister Govind Singh Dotasra tweeted that teachers participating in COVID-19 campaigns would be able to take vacation only with the permission of a competent authority such as the district collector or sub-divisional magistrate.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) declared last week that students in classes 6 and 7 would be promoted to subsequent classes without having to take annual exams. In light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases around the country, the state board plans to encourage students in grades 6 and 7 based on internal evaluations performed by the schools.
