On Wednesday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan is making steady progress in the field of education, adding that his government has made several key decisions to propel the state to new heights in higher education. On Wednesday, Mr Gehlot spoke via video conference from the Chief Minister's house during the inauguration of newly constructed college buildings.
In order to boost girl child education, the state government announced in the budget that government girls higher secondary schools would be upgraded to girls colleges, with over 500 girls enrolled in class 12. Girls will be able to attend college closer to home as a result of this, and their enrollment in higher education will rise, according to the chief minister. Rajasthan had previously lagged behind in terms of education, particularly for women, according to Mr Gehlot.
Today, excellent work in the sphere of education is being done here. "Medical colleges have been granted in 30 districts across the state, and many of these medical colleges have already begun offering courses," he stated. The chief minister laid the foundation stone for two college buildings worth Rs 12.67 crore and inaugurated 11 newly constructed college buildings at a cost of roughly Rs 45 crore. He stated that the state administration has announced the opening of 123 new institutions.
According to the minister, 27 new faculties have been established in 20 colleges, 25 new subjects have been added to 14 undergraduate colleges, and 33 new subjects have been added to 25 postgraduate institutions.
