Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog to hold National-level cow science exam on Feb 25


Indians are spiritually and culturally attached to their roots. Indians regard cows, not as an animal per se, but as a sacred species that is worshipped. Every human benefits out of cows as they are the source of dairy products. To this extent, even the cow dung and cow urine is used in curing cancer. Therefore, government has taken a move ahead in spreading awareness on the importance of cows and educate people about the various species. The central government is planning to conduct a national-level online examination on cow science. The exam will be conducted on February 25, 2020. The examination – Kamdhenu Gau-Vigyan Prachar-Prasar Pareeksha – will be held on February 25 and will be conducted by the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA), an agency established for the protection of cows under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The one-hour examination will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Students will be able to take the exam on mobile phone or computer. The exam will have four categories – primary level (up to class VIII), classes IX and XII, for college and university students; and the fourth category will be open to all. The online registration will begin from January 14- February 20, while the results will be declared on February 25 itself. The exam will be conducted in Hindi, English and 12 other regional languages. “Certificates will be given to all. Successful meritorious candidates will be given prizes and certificates,” read the official statement by the Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
