On Thursday, several student and teacher organisations protested the National Education Policy and the reintroduction of the Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) at Delhi University. They also requested that colleges and schools that had been closed because to the COVID-19 outbreak be reopened.
The demonstration was place outside Shastri Bhawan, which houses the Ministry of Education's office in this city. In an united statement, the protesting organisations claimed they had filed a memorandum to the Ministry of Education. Outside Shastri Bhawan, representatives from various organisations spoke to the crowd.
"A delegation was sent to the ministry with a memorandum when no one from the ministry came before the demonstrating people," it stated. If their demands are not satisfied, the organisations have threatened to escalate their protests. The All India Forum for Right to Education (AIFTRE), All India Revolutionary Students Organisation (AIRSO), AISA, DYFI, SFI, and Youth for Swaraj were among the protesting organisations.
