Thailand's Opal Suchata Crowned Miss World 2025 in Glittering Hyderabad Finale

In a dazzling celebration of grace, beauty, and strength, Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 at a star-studded finale held in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The grand culmination of the 72nd Miss World pageant witnessed reigning queen Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic passing on her crown to the radiant new titleholder.

Draped in a gown symbolizing healing and resilience, Opal graced the stage in a flowing white ensemble adorned with opalescent florals.

She described the gown as a tribute to the powerful journey of "Opal For HER"—a representation of the gem’s enduring qualities: beauty, strength, and transformation.

“The shimmering white fabric and delicate opal-like florals reflect women who choose hope over fear,” Opal shared on Instagram. “The soft flare mirrors the ripple effect of compassion—how one heart can awaken many. Swarovski crystals sparkle like the inner light that guides us through darkness.”

More than just an outfit, the gown was a symbol—an homage to every woman who dares to dream despite adversity. “Just like the opal, I shine in my own light,” she added.

As Thailand celebrates Opal’s crowning, India’s hopes were dimmed as the country’s representative, Nandini Gupta, fell short of the Top 8 finalists.

The news came via the official Miss World Instagram page.

Nandini had made it to the Top 40 after an impressive run in the early rounds, even securing a place among the 18 contestants who ‘fast-tracked’ into the semifinals. Despite her strong showing, she was unable to advance further.

This 72nd edition of Miss World also marks a historic moment, as India hosts the global pageant once again. Following the success of the 71st edition in Mumbai, where Krystyna Pyszkova was crowned, the legacy now continues with Opal Suchata taking the mantle forward.
