Today, the Supreme Court will hear a request for a postponement of the ICAI CA Exam 2021

Today, the Supreme Court of India will hear a petition seeking to postpone the ICAI CA 2021 exam. According to Anubha Shrivastava Sahai's petition, every district in the country should have at least one ICAI CA exam centre. The petition also asks for a second chance for students taking intermediate and final exams under the old syllabus.

Meanwhile, over 6,000 Chartered Accountancy (CA) students have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that the next CA exams be postponed because to the country's COVID-19 situation. The case will be heard today at 10:30 a.m. by a three-judge bench consisting of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, and Justice Aniruddha Bose.

ICAI has previously announced and provided an opt-out option for students registered to take the forthcoming July test cycle, notwithstanding the fact that the petition also demands an opt-out option for students. It noted that if authorities are unable to assure adherence to the COVID-19 standards, the tests set for July 6 should be postponed until the COVID-19 situation improves.

CA foundation exams will begin on July 24 and CA Inter examinations will be held between July 6 and 20, however CA Final exams will be held between July 5 and 19. These exams' admit cards have been released.
