UGC NET 2021 postponed due to surge in COVID-19 cases

Due to an unexpected increase in Covid 19 cases across the region, the NTA has decided to postpone the UGC NET 2021 exam until further notice. The exam was held in a number of locations around the country from May 2 to 17. The UGC NET admit card was released on April 14 and is available at ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the official website. At least 15 days prior to the tests, the revised dates will be revealed.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had previously postponed the JEE Mains April session 2021 and NEET PG 2021 exams due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the region. Many examinations have been delayed due to the increase in the Covid-19 second wave, which is predicted to be the disease's hotspot.

The UGC NET exam is structured around objective-type questions. Each topic has two papers, with paper 1 containing 50 MCQs and paper 2 containing 100 MCQs. The examinations will last three hours, with no breaks in between. Students will receive two marks for each correct response, and there will be no negative marking.
