XLRI Jamshedpur Opens Admissions for New One-Year Hybrid Programmes

Jamshedpur, June 20: XLRI Jamshedpur has opened admissions for two newly launched one-year hybrid postgraduate programmes—Public Policy and Sustainable Leadership (PPSL) and Public Human Resources Management (PHRM). Developed in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, these programmes aim to strengthen leadership and policy-making capabilities across both public and private sectors.
Applications are now open and will close on June 30, 2025. The programmes begin on July 28, 2025.
Eligibility and Target Audience
Both programmes are open to working professionals with a minimum of five years of full-time experience. While Group 'A' central government officers may be eligible for DoPT sponsorship, the programmes also welcome professionals from private companies, PSUs, NGOs, and development organisations. The goal is to foster a cross-sectoral learning environment and enhance governance through shared knowledge.
Programme Format and Structure
Designed for flexibility, the PPSL and PHRM programmes follow a hybrid learning model with:
180 hours of instruction
Live online classes on Sundays
Two in-person campus visits – one at XLRI Jamshedpur and one at XLRI Delhi-NCR
Participants who miss any modules can make them up with the following cohort, ensuring accessibility even with busy work schedules.
Duration and Fee
Each programme spans one year, and the fee is Rs 2.95 lakh (inclusive of 18% GST). This includes all tuition, materials, and campus components. DoPT-sponsored Group 'A' officers will have their fees fully covered by the government.
Course Content
PHRM Programme: Structured into three modules—Foundations, Core, and Emerging Issues in Public HRM. Key subjects include:
Recruitment and HR planning
Organizational behaviour
Labour relations and communication
Change management
Use of AI in HR and workplace well-being
PPSL Programme: Divided into six modules, offering insights into:
Public policy theories and public finance
Data analytics and PPP models
Leadership for sustainability
Business strategy and governance models
Admission and Selection Process
Candidates will undergo an application review by XLRI, followed by a virtual interaction or interview for shortlisted applicants.
