Arvind Kejriwal Launches 'Desh Ke Mentor' Program To Assist Students In Making Career Decisions

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched an initiative in which citizens who have achieved success in their fields will advise pupils in Delhi government schools on job options. The "Desh ke mentor" scheme involves "adopting" one to ten government school children who can be mentored by accomplished citizens in their fields.

Mentors will devote 10 minutes every week to providing phone guidance to students. As part of the campaign, citizens can adopt one to ten children who are enrolled in the city's public schools.

"Our pupils can succeed in any area of life if they are given the proper coaching. We created this initiative to assist students in charting a future route with mentors who would guide them beyond the role of their professors "At the launch, Kejriwal stated. The Delhi government announced in August that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be the mentors' program's brand ambassador.
