Bihar Board Class 12th Results: Auto Driver's Daughter Secures Top Rank

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the Class 12 results for 2025, with Raushani Kumari, the daughter of an auto driver, securing the top position in the Commerce stream. She scored an impressive 95%, showcasing a remarkable journey of perseverance and dedication.

Raushani began her education at Kashipur Chakbibi School, completed her matriculation at Chandpura High School, and pursued her intermediate studies at Jamunilal College, Hajipur.

Reflecting on her journey, she shared,

"Everyone dreams of becoming something, but financial struggles often dictate our choices. My family's financial situation has always been difficult—my father is an auto driver, and for us, even managing one proper meal a day is a blessing."

Financial hardships posed challenges during her studies, but she found a way to continue. "There were times when I couldn’t afford coaching fees. My teacher allowed me to work for an hour at his computer coaching center, where I earned ₹500. That’s how I managed to pay for my coaching," she explained.

Discussing her future plans, Raushani initially considered Chartered Accountancy (CA) but opted for Computer Science (CS) due to the financial investment required for CA.

Her father, Sudhir Kumar, expressed his pride, saying, "Even as a child, Raushani’s dedication to her studies made it clear that she would achieve something great."

Priya Jaiswal secured the top rank in the Science stream, while Ankita Kumari and Shakib Sah were joint toppers in the Arts stream.

This year, out of 6,11,365 students who appeared for the BSEB Inter Exams 2025, 5,05,884 passed, while 1,05,481 students failed, resulting in a pass percentage of 86.56%. This marks a slight dip compared to last year’s success rate of 87.21%.
