CLAT 2026 to Be Held on December 7: Registration Opens August 1

New Delhi, July 22: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has officially announced the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. This national-level entrance examination is a gateway to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 prestigious National Law Universities (NLUs) across India.
As per the official notification, CLAT 2026 will be conducted in offline mode on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The application process will commence on August 1, 2025, and will remain open until October 31, 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Steps to Register for CLAT 2026:
Visit the official website.
Click on the “Register” button.
Provide your full name, mobile number, and email ID.
Verify your email using the OTP.
Fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
Choose up to three test centre preferences.
Upload scanned documents.
Pay the application fee online.
Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
Eligibility Criteria:
For UG Programme (5-year Integrated LLB):
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class XII.
Minimum marks: 45% (General/OBC/PwD/NRI); 40% (SC/ST).
For PG Programme (LLM):
Candidates must hold or be in the final year of an LLB degree.
Minimum marks: 50% (General/OBC/PwD/NRI); 45% (SC/ST).
