New Delhi: Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) has introduced a new undergraduate programme—BTech in Computer Science and Economics (CSEcon)—designed to address the growing demand for professionals who can navigate the complex intersections of digital technology, business, and economic systems. This innovative four-year programme is one of the first of its kind, integrating Economics and Computational Methods into a single BTech degree.
Programme Overview
The CSEcon programme aims to equip students with a distinctive skill set that combines computer science expertise with a strong foundation in economic principles.

Core Training (Years 1 & 2):Students will develop a strong foundation through core courses in Computer Science, Economics, and Mathematics, preparing them for interdisciplinary learning and professional growth.
Advanced Learning (Years 3 & 4):
Interdisciplinary subjects such as Econometrics with Machine Learning
Economics electives including Behavioural Economics and Financial Economics
Computer Science & Mathematics electives such as Statistical Machine Learning
Admissions & Fees
Admissions will be based on JEE Mains, and the fee structure will follow the institute’s standard BTech programme norms.
