In the QS World University Rankings by Subject, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has been ranked the top B-school in India for the third year in a row in Business & Management Studies. In order to rank universities globally, the QS World University Rankings by Subject takes into account employer reputation, academic reputation, and research impact, according to an IIMB statement released on Thursday.
"IIM Bangalore's Business & Management Studies topic has received high ratings in all three categories, making IIMB India's Best B-School," it stated.
"We have scored high in Academic Reputation and H-Index Citation criteria, and this reflects our efforts in assuring academic quality in the subject and research skills," IIMB Director Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan stated.
It was reported that Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) analysed over 5,500 universities in 80 different places around the world to rank the top 1000 universities in 51 specialties.
"Being ranked in the top 51-100 category in Business and Management Studies, with a global rating of 76, is not only a feat, but it also demonstrates IIM Bangalore's drive to adapt, develop, and impart quality education."
