JEE Main 2026 Registration To Begin Soon: Check Dates, Steps To Apply, and Other Key Details

New Delhi:The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to begin the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 registration process soon. Once the registration link is activated, candidates can apply for the January session on the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in — by clicking on the “New Registration 2026” tab under the “Candidate Activity” section.

According to the official schedule, Session 1 of JEE Main 2026 will be held between January 21 and January 30, 2026, while Session 2 is scheduled between April 1 and April 10, 2026. Registration for the second session will begin in January 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Registration Date

As per the official NTA notice, registrations for the January session were expected to begin in October 2025. With the month nearing its end, candidates can expect the registration process to start in the first week of November 2025.

JEE Main Counselling Process

Candidates seeking admission to engineering institutes through JEE Main 2026 scores will need to participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process. The procedure includes:

• Filling and locking of preferred institutes

• Mock seat allocation for reference

• Final seat allocation

• Seat acceptance and document verification
