Mohd Salamuddin (Sonu) Appointed National Referee for Taekwondo




New Delhi — The appointment of Mohd Salamuddin (Sonu) as a National Referee was officially announced during the closing ceremony of the 39th National Sub-Junior Kyorugi and 14th National Sub-Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium here.



The announcement marked an important recognition of Salamuddin’s technical knowledge, experience, and long-standing contribution to Taekwondo officiating. Officials and members of the Taekwondo fraternity welcomed the decision, emphasising the crucial role of qualified national referees in ensuring fair play and smooth conduct at major competitions.

The championship was organised by the Delhi Taekwondo Association witnessed participation from young athletes representing various states across the country.


Salamuddin’s appointment as a National Referee is expected to strengthen the standard of officiating at upcoming national-level events, including the Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship 2026, scheduled to be held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium.

Mr .salamuddin is one of the best refree in Delhi.He is very honest and also responsible towards his duty.i wish he achieve greater opportunities in future and I am really happy that he got the opportunity to arrange Nationals in Delhi.
