The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will close the registration window for Round 1 counselling of its undergraduate (BDes) and postgraduate (MDes) programmes today, July 1. Eligible candidates must complete the process by midnight through the official portals — nift.admissions.nic.in or nift.ac.in.
Only candidates who have cleared the NIFT 2025 entrance exam and secured a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) are eligible for Round 1 counselling. Without registering, they will not be considered for seat allotment.
This year, a total of 17,974 candidates registered for the NIFTEE 2025 Stage 1 exam, generating 33,877 entries across the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT).
Choice Filling & Seat Allocation
Although registration ends today, the choice filling and locking option will remain open until July 4. All registered candidates must carefully select and lock their preferred courses and campuses, as seat allotments will be based on these choices.
Document verification for Round 1 will be conducted on July 2, and seat allotment results will be announced on July 7. Candidates who receive a seat must confirm admission and pay the required fee between July 7 and July 10. Applicants must also ensure that uploaded documents are clearly visible and within the 100 KB–500 KB file size range.
