Rashtriya Indian Military College Opens Admissions for 2026 Session

New Delhi, August 17, 2025 — The Directorate of Education has announced that applications are now open for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for the academic year 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on December 7, 2025, in Delhi, and classes are scheduled to begin in July 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Students applying must be between 11.5 and 13 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Applicants should either be studying in Class 8 or have already passed it from a recognized school by the same date.

How to Apply

Application forms are available through the Directorate of Education. Interested candidates must submit the duly filled form along with the required documents to the Education Cell of the Directorate of Education via post. The last date to apply is October 15, 2025.

Students may also obtain the application form and a booklet of past question papers by sending a written request along with a demand draft of ₹600 to the examination cell. For candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, the fee is ₹555, provided they attach a copy of their caste certificate.

The Directorate has emphasized that only the original application form with the official RIMC hologram (seal) will be accepted. Photocopies or forms without the seal will not be considered valid.
