Three New Schools Added to the List of Sainik Schools in India

New Delhi:The Ministry of Defence has announced the inclusion of three new institutions in the list of Sainik Schools across the country. According to the official notification, the following schools have been approved:
Srri SPK Public Senior Secondary School, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu (Residential)
Vadem Nagar Higher Secondary School, Vasco, Goa (Residential)
Yogeshwari Sainik School, Ambajogai, Beed, Maharashtra (Day Boarding)
Meanwhile, registrations are underway for admission to Sainik Schools, including 69 new schools for Class 6 and 19 approved schools for Class 9. Interested students or their parents can apply for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website — nta.nic.in — until October 30, 2025 (5 pm).
AISSEE 2026: Exam Pattern and Key Details
The AISSEE 2026 will be conducted in January 2026 in pen-and-paper (OMR) mode. The Class 6 exam will be available in 13 languages, including Hindi and English, while the Class 9 exam will be conducted in English medium only.
For Class 6:
Total Marks: 300
Duration: 150 minutes
Subjects & Marks Distribution:
Language: 25 questions, 50 marks
Mathematics: 50 questions, 150 marks
Intelligence: 25 questions, 50 marks
For Class 9:
Duration: 180 minutes
Exam format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Application Fee:
₹850 – General, OBC, Defence, and Ex-Servicemen categories
₹700 – Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories
The results are expected in February 2026.
