CBSE Invites Applications for Central Sector Scholarship Scheme 2025-26

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the opening of applications for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students. The scheme is available for fresh applicants for the academic year 2025-26, as well as for renewals, including first renewal (2024), second renewal (2023), third renewal (2022), and fourth renewal (2021).

Students can submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in by August 31, 2025. CBSE has urged candidates to apply online within the deadline and ensure that their applications are verified by their respective institutions. Unverified applications will be treated as invalid.

Institutions have been directed to carry out verification, correction, or rejection of applications promptly via their institute login.

To assist students, NSP services are also available at Common Service Centres (CSCs). Facilities such as OTR number generation, biometric authentication, and application submission can be availed at CSCs for a fixed fee of ₹30. The nearest CSC can be located through locator.csccloud.in.

Applicants have been advised to carefully read the instructions before registering, ensure accuracy while filling details, and use their One-Time Registration (OTR) ID and password for login. No corrections will be allowed after submission, and incorrect details may lead to rejection. Students are further reminded to keep their login credentials secure and check the NSP portal regularly for updates.
