IIT Delhi Placements 2025: Students Receive Highest Unique Offers

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has witnessed a record-breaking placement season this year, with its undergraduate (UG) students receiving around 850 unique job offers—the highest number ever. As the placement season is still underway, this number is expected to rise even further.

In comparison, students at IIT Delhi received 781 offers in 2024, 768 in 2023, and 712 in 2022, showing a consistent upward trend in placements over the years.

Top Recruiters Several prominent companies have extended double-digit offers to UG students this year. These include American Express, Barclays, BCG, BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd., Deutsche India Pvt. Ltd., Google, Graviton Research Capital, Meesho, Microsoft, Oracle, PayU, Squarepoint Capital, and Texas Instruments.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have also participated in the recruitment process, with companies like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Petronet LNG Ltd., Indian Oil Corporation of India, and the Centre for Development of Telematics hiring students from campus.

Global Opportunities The placement season has also brought international opportunities, with students receiving offers from organisations based in countries such as Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Diverse Career Paths exit survey by the institute revealed that about 30 per cent of the 2024 graduating batch opted for alternative career paths. These include self-employment, start-ups, and entrepreneurship (7%), pursuing higher studies (6%), and preparing for competitive examinations like civil or engineering services (17%).
