CBSE Opens Applications for Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship: Here’s How to Apply**

New Delhi, June 29 — The application process for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) for the academic year 2025–26 is now open. Eligible students can apply for both fresh scholarships and renewals through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.

As per the notification issued by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, the scholarship application window covers:

• Fresh applications for 2025–26

• 1st renewal for 2024–25

• 2nd renewal for 2023–24

• 3rd renewal for 2022–23

• 4th renewal for 2021–22

The last date to submit both fresh and renewal applications is October 31, 2025.

Students are urged to apply online well before the deadline and ensure that any required original documents are submitted to their respective institutions for verification. Applications that remain unverified by institutions will be deemed invalid.

Institutional Nodal Officers have been requested to verify, flag defects, or reject applications via their login portals in a timely manner to facilitate smooth processing.
