Cyber Jaagrooktva Diwas: Cyber security courses in schools for safety against cyber crimes

The Ministry of Home Affairs has implemented a Cyber Security education scheme for school students of Classes 6 to 11 and above, which aims to deal with cyber crimes in a coordinated and comprehensive manner. After witnessing an increase in cyber-crimes, there is a pressing need to sort this out by adopting the strategy of ‘Cyber hygiene’, which includes prevention of these crimes by inculcating the habit of taking basic care of ICT devices at regular intervals

Every month in all schools with the involvement of District Magistrates, Police Authorities, Officers of the Education Department, etc, this ‘Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas’ will be observed on the first Wednesday of every month. To promote as much as possible, the ministry has launched cyber awareness handles on social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

According to the official notice, schools may organize workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions. Schools can check the detailed topics related to it on the official website i.e., cbseacademic.nic.in.
