“I Want To Apologise To Dhoni, Kapil Dev”: Yuvraj Singh Breaks Silence On Father Yograj’s Remarks

Yuvraj Singh has spoken candidly about his career and controversies surrounding his father, expressing regret over past remarks involving MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.

A key figure in Indian cricket during an era that featured legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj played a crucial role in India’s triumphs at the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. Despite his contributions, he never secured a long-term captaincy, a topic that has often been discussed in connection with Dhoni’s leadership.

In a recent podcast, Yuvraj addressed the controversy sparked by his father, Yograj Singh, who has previously made strong statements about several cricketers. “I would like to apologise to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni,” Yuvraj said, indicating discomfort with his father’s comments.

Responding to a question about whether such remarks affect him, Yuvraj shared that he had told his father, “It’s not OK,” suggesting his apology was linked to distancing himself from those statements.

Yograj Singh has been known for his outspoken views, including past remarks criticising Dhoni and others, as well as recounting an incident involving Kapil Dev from his playing days.
