JEE Mains Exams Result Released



JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1, Paper 1 (BE/BTech). According to the official notification, nine questions have been dropped in total. Candidates who appeared for Paper 1 can now review the confirmed answers to calculate their estimated scores before the results are declared today. The final answer key is available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The final answer key covers examinations conducted from January 21 to January 28, 2026. It provides subject-wise question IDs for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, along with the correct answers for both Indian and international candidates. These finalized answers will be used to prepare the Session 1 results.

The objection window for the provisional answer key closed on February 6. After reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates, the NTA issued the final version.

JEE Main 2026 scores will be considered for admission to undergraduate programmes such as BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlanning at participating government and private institutions across the country.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Examination Details

Session 1 was conducted in computer-based mode from January 21 to January 29, 2026, in two shifts daily — 9 AM to 12 Noon and 3 PM to 6 PM.

For BE/BTech candidates, the exam was held between January 21 and January 28. Students and subject experts rated the overall difficulty level as moderate, with some variation across shifts and subjects.

In comparison, during the January 2025 session, the NTA declared results on February 11 and had dropped 12 questions from the final answer key.

Use of JEE Main 2026 Scores

The JEE Main 2026 merit list and scores may also be used by various central and state government bodies, subject to their respective eligibility criteria, rules, and regulations.

Re-evaluation and Re-checking Policy

There will be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of results. The NTA will not entertain any correspondence regarding this matter.

Cases Where Results Will Not Be Declared

Results will be cancelled for candidates involved in:

  • Use of unfair means (UFM/UMP)

  • Impersonation

  • Appearing from an unauthorised examination centre

  • Attempting the exam more than once in the same session

Such candidates may also face debarment as per NTA guidelines.

Seat Allocation and Admission Process

Admissions will be based on candidates’ choices and All India Ranks through the seat allocation process conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).

During seat allocation and admission, candidates must present original documents including proof of identity, date of birth, qualifying examination certificates, state of eligibility, category, and disability certificate (if applicable). Failure to produce valid documents may result in cancellation of admission.

Candidates under Gen-EWS, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD/PwBD categories must submit original certificates in the prescribed formats issued by competent authorities.

How to Check JEE Main 2026 Scorecard

Once released, candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in

  2. Go to the “Latest News” section

  3. Click on the JEE Main Session 1 Result/Score link

  4. Enter your Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth

  5. View and download your result

9 Questions Dropped from Final Answer Key

Out of the nine dropped questions:

  • Physics accounts for 7 questions

  • Mathematics accounts for 2 questions

  • Chemistry has no dropped questions

Last year, the NTA dropped 12 questions in the January session.

Key Reminder

There is no provision for re-evaluation of JEE Main 2026 results. Any candidate found violating exam guidelines will have their candidature cancelled without further consideration.
